Coaching Philosophy

G tennis believes in the vast difference between TEACHING (often overlooked!), TRAINING & COACHING.

G-TEACHING - Getting fundamental technique right in the early stages of learning.
G-TRAINING - Consolidating techniques through repetition and tactically relevant drills.
G-COACHING - Developing tactical understanding through more match play and appreciating the psychological demands of the game.

Catherine Dibble

Catherine started playing tennis at the age of five and got in to coaching after completing her level 1 coaching course while studying for a Sports Psychology Masters at Brunel University. Catherine became fully qualified, holding an LTA Level 3 qualification and has been coaching in various locations around South West London for the past three years. Catherine enjoys coaching players of all abilities and is available for both private and group sessions.


Chris Marshall

Chris is a level 4, Senior Performance Coach, who has been coaching for over 12 years. Starting his career in Bradford, Yorkshire, he has coached numerous players who have progressed to compete for their county and some even becoming nationally ranked. He has won the Yorkshire League 1st division on 2 occasions as well as competing in the National Leagues as a junior. Chris as worked in numerous venue's from members clubs, small park courts and the National Centre's in New Zealand and London. This variety has helped him develop experience coaching in numerous different styles and understand the needs of players from all backgrounds and walks of life. Chris is a big believer in getting fundamental technique in place at the early stages of learning, then making the understanding of different tactics and movement patterns easier. Chris has a genuine love for teaching, meeting new people and enthusing them to also love the game of tennis.
